ROLE

As a skilled and experienced developer, you contribute to the ongoing exploration and development of data and AI-enabled solutions. Your expertise with Microsoft technologies, data, and AI frameworks will be critical in creating transformative legal and business applications. Generative AI is a catalyst for innovation in the delivery of sophisticated legal services. You will work closely with high-performing cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and deploy AI-enabled applications and data integrations that will drive value in the rapidly evolving field.
 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Use the Microsoft Power Platform and Azure technologies to design, build, and improve AI-enabled applications, data pipelines, and integrations, enhancing legal and business processes.
  • Build and maintain scalable, high-performance data and AI infrastructure in Microsoft Azure.
  • Collaborate with business and data stakeholders to understand requirements and design effective solutions.
  • Provide technical expertise to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and performance bottlenecks.
  • Conduct testing and validation of solutions to ensure accuracy, reliability and scalability.
  • Document and communicate solutions and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Stay current with industry best practices in AI and data engineering and recommend solutions to enhance operations.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • Experience with Azure Data Services, including Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks and relational databases.
  • Experience with Azure App Services and REST APIs using Microsoft .NET, Flask, and/or FastAPI.
  • Familiarity with the Power Platform and Power BI for data visualization.
  • Proficiency in Python for AI and data analysis, with experience in frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, Haystack, Pandas, and PySpark.
  • Strong understanding of SQL.
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate or Azure Developer Associate would be an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven commitment to continuous professional development and learning.
  • Demonstrated capacity for problem-solving, synthesis, and making sound recommendations.
  • Exposure to Agile methodologies and experience in an Agile development environment.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing technologies and learn new skills continuously.
  • Conveys a positive attitude when interacting with others.
  • Holds oneself, and colleagues, accountable for quality outcomes; avoids over-commitments.
  • Demonstrates initiative and the ability to be proactive, anticipating needs.


EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience, or demonstrated proficiency in the required skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Self-directed, independently motivated, and able to work well with minimal supervision.
