工作目标 Objectives:
Our team “Artificial Intelligence (AI) Solutions for Supply Chains” develops innovative solutions to derive insights from data that support better and faster business decisions. We implement data-driven solutions in its complete lifecycle for users in supply chain management around the world.
We are looking for a Data/AI Architect to create a Generative AI-based web application for Supply Chain and Logistics.

- As Data/AI Architect for our Generative AI-based web application, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our new data and AI platform for Supply Chain and Logistics.
- You will deliver an integrated AI platform for our internal clients, and you can create and maintain architecture using leading AI technology frameworks.
- You will coordinate the implementation of the AI Solution, choosing the right technologies and evaluating the evolution of the architecture as the clients’ needs change, while standardized corporate AI platforms emerge.
- You will support the major site investment project team by defining scope and requirements for Data Science and AI-driven solutions and aligning them with key stakeholders.
- In your role, you support the transition from project phase to successful operations for the application,
- You will continuously improve and optimize web application to enhance performance, accuracy, efficiency, and scalability, living a DevOps culture.
- Additionally, you will lead and coordinate scaling the application towards more sites and supply chain and logistics teams in China and beyond.

- Manage the architecture based on restrictions, conflicting requirements, and any other limitations the team faces.
- Apply a deep understanding of AI applications as well as the specific Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure.
- Translate business requirements into technical concepts, especially regarding the platform and software architecture.
- Drive the sustainable implementation of AI Solutions for Supply Chains, including:
o Designing the strategical roadmap to ensure the evolution of our platform.
o Refining architecture iteratively to make sure of sustainability, scalability and maintainability.
o Agile project management and aligning with several teams in China and Germany
o Data integration for various AI solutions, while utilizing enterprise data lake concepts
o Data science related aspects, e. g. predicting, recommendations, alerting, and simulation.
o Pipelines and processes for implementing Machine Learning and Data Science
o Professional web application framework design
o Generative AI related aspects, especially high-performance of the application.
- Work in an international and agile DevOps environment and apply agile principles for setting priorities, evaluating feasibility of requirements and managing multiple stakeholders in a challenging business environment.
- Work in close alignment with the other project team members and stakeholders to fully understand background and business requirements of each party and consult them in their activities.
- Ensure an efficient collaboration with global and regional BASF service units in both project delivery as well as support.
- You drive the transition from project phase to successful operations for the new Generative AI-based web application.

- A bachelor or master's in computer science, information technology, software engineering, or related discipline.
- Working Experience: 5+ years professional implementation experience in software engineering / development with focus on data analytics, data integration, cloud hosting, Integration technology
- Working experience of 2+ on AI Cloud architecture, e.g. Microsoft Azure, AWS, Ali
- Hands on experience in delivering predictive/prescriptive (AI/ML) analytics projects, General API deployment.
- Good understanding of Machine Learning and Data Science, especially with regards to pipelines and processes
- Good professional knowledge of databases (SQL and No SQL), Data lakes, modelling and scripting knowledge of Power BI and / or Python
- Working knowledge of data / process integration principles such as ETL
- Proven track record of successful AI-driven projects, preferably in an industrial setting
- Familiarity with DevOps, Agile philosophy and practices, using tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps and approaches like SCRUM, KANBAN
- Strong Communication & Presentations skills
- Experience in web application development including Microsoft Azure cloud components for backend development.
- Expert on distributed technology, micro-services, docker, caches and messaging systems
- Familiar with database technology such as MySQL, SQL-Server; Having good understanding on SQL optimization.
- Good organizational awareness and comfortable working in highly complex environment with multiple stakeholders and with strong pressure to deliver on time and on budget.
- An entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to foster a positive and energized culture.
- A growth mindset with a curiosity to learn and improve.
- Team player with strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Business Travel to Zhanjiang, Guangdong province, will be required (3-4 times per year)
- Fluent (active contribution and participation in discussion including technical topics and terms) in English and Chinese is essential.

Nice to have:
- Experience with GenAI architecture
- Basic knowledge of ERP (e. g. SAP)
