Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Data Analytics Team Lead to lead our Israel-based team within the Services organization. This role offers the opportunity to drive innovation and shape the future of customer-facing analytics solutions at Placer.ai. You will oversee the development and delivery of custom data reports, ensuring that our clients receive maximum value from Placer’s location intelligence data.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for managing a high-performing analytics team, developing scalable data products, and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver value to our clients. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Team Leadership & Development
• Lead and inspire a cohesive, high-performing team while fostering a positive, proactive culture.
• Mentor and coach team members, supporting both professional development and the achievement of team goals.
• Manage hiring efforts to support team growth in line with business needs.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration across internal teams.
  
  
• Project & Resource Management
• Estimate project scope and effort based on deep familiarity with Placer.ai data, tools, and internal processes.
• Allocate work effectively based on team capacity, priorities, and constraints.
• Handle escalations and interruptions while maintaining project focus and team productivity.
• Define and track team KPIs, identifying areas for improvement and driving operational excellence.
  
  
• Cross-functional Collaboration
  
  
• Work closely with Solutions Engineering, Consulting, Customer Success, and Sales to define project scopes and manage client expectations.
• Collaborate with Product and R&D teams to align on data methodologies, product roadmap, and technical best practices.
• Support analytics teams across the organization in building and optimizing data pipelines.
  
  
• Technical Innovation
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and implement efficiencies in report development and delivery.
• Drive technical initiatives to enhance the scalability, reliability, and maintainability of reporting pipelines.

Team & Tech Stack

You’ll lead one of two Data Analytics teams (the other is US-based). The team works with large-scale data to construct custom metrics and support client-specific reporting needs. 

The team includes data analysts, data pipeline engineers and software engineers. 

Languages & Tools: Python, Spark, Airflow, Databricks, Dataproc, Hive, MongoDB, Tableau

REQUIREMENTS:

• At least 2 years of Proven experience leading data analytics teams
• Strong technical background, hands-on experience in Python and PySpark
• Strong statistical background, proven experience in developing new methodologies
• experience with geo spatial data - advantage
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects in a dynamic, cross-functional environment
• High sense of accountability and ownership 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, excellent spoken and written English
• Passion for mentoring and team development
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• B.Sc/M.Sc in Industry & Management, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or equivalent
