About the Role:

Decagon is looking to hire a Controller who will be responsible for scaling our accounting operations and financial reporting as we grow. In this role, you will partner closely with Finance and Leadership to establish financial processes, ensure compliance, and provide key insights that drive strategic decision-making.

You may be a good fit if you:

  • Have 8+ years of experience in accounting and financial reporting, preferably in a high-growth or fast-paced environment.

  • Are a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a strong understanding of GAAP, ASC 606, and financial compliance regulations.

  • Have experience leading and managing an accounting team, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial processes.

  • Own the timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and year-end domestic, international, and consolidated financials following US GAAP.

  • Coordinate and manage the annual external audit, serving as primary liaison with auditor leadership.

  • Coordinate with our people team to operate and scale the payroll operations, process, execution, and all related systems.

  • Are highly detail-oriented and have a track record of implementing and improving accounting systems, processes, and internal controls.

  • Monitor current regulation trends related to accounting and reporting issues and guide technical accounting decisions and associated documentation.

  • Want to roll-up your sleeves and help build the department from the ground-up!

  • Grow and mentor the team, ensuring they are set up for success in their roles and careers.

  • Collaborate and build relationships with all departments, providing data and insights that help managers and executives make informed decisions.

Even better if you:

  • Have experience working in a SaaS, AI, or tech-driven company.

  • Have managed financial operations for international entities and are familiar with global tax compliance.

  • Are skilled in financial software such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar platforms.

  • Have experience working in a product-led growth (PLG) or B2B environment with high-volume transactions.

  • Can leverage data analytics and financial modeling to drive decision-making and operational efficiency.
