Join Our Team as a Marketing Information Management Consultant (AI Consultant)!

This hybrid position is based in Columbus, OH. Candidates located near a Nationwide campus will collaborate in office 2 days per week and enjoy the flexibility of remote work the remaining days. Current Nationwide Remote Associates will also be considered.

What You'll Do: As our Marketing Information Management Consultant (AI Consultant), you'll be at the forefront of developing and implementing cutting-edge AI solutions to supercharge our marketing efforts. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to identify AI integration opportunities, design and deploy AI models, and ensure the successful execution of AI projects that align with our marketing goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead AI Initiatives: Drive the development and execution of AI strategies to support our Marketing AI vision and AI Council.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with marketing, enterprise AI committees, and IT teams to identify and prioritize AI opportunities.
  • Design AI Governance: Create and implement AI governance frameworks to measure marketing performance and compliance.
  • Analyze Data: Dive into complex data sets to extract actionable insights that inform our marketing strategies.
  • Optimize AI Tools: Monitor and fine-tune AI tools to enhance their accuracy and effectiveness.
  • Stay Ahead of Trends: Keep up with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning technologies and apply them to our marketing initiatives.

Job Description Summary

Building a deep understanding of customers and the marketing that works to attract them begins with developing insights and solutions from data. As a Consultant, you'll develop and support marketing information capabilities and insights for production or internal business partners. This can include business and data analytics projects, including development and maintenance of intermediate statistical models and related analyzes. This also may include developing the business understanding vital for analytics projects, obtaining and leading related data, performing analyses, interpreting results, outlining requirements for sophisticated analytical solutions as needed, providing insights to internal clients and helping implement insights to marketing decisions.

You also may work on projects through one or more of the delivery cycles from initiation, solution scoping, design, development, and analytic execution through implementation. You'll document business rules, business cases, requirements, information requirements, analytic requirements and implementation strategy for changes and improvements to customer information and decision making both in an analytical and operational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads multiple projects to develop business and data analysis to drive business objectives.

  • Leads workstreams of projects designed to execute analytics and to deliver analytic and operational capabilities and solutions.

  • Generates understanding of business processes and identifies critical business metrics and information requirements for decision making.

  • Coordinates the efforts of the business subject matter professionals; conducts the business alignment and scoping sessions.

  • Gathers, analyzes and interprets a wide variety of underlying data to support business, customer and/or financial objectives; able to identify new ways to combine business data to improve business processes and marketing and business outcomes.

  • Helps drive the initiative to build and/or improve existing statistical models to solve business problems; defines requirements for advanced machine-learning models; implements testing strategy and assists in putting final models into production.

  • Interprets statistical/analytical results and creates a feedback loop for analyzes improvement.

  • Builds data visualization to support business needs.

  • Designs and implements qualitative and quantitative research projects and methodologies used to measure consumer perceptions and satisfaction.

  • Helps drive marketing action and results through the interpretation and application of data and research findings.

  • Conducts business implementation planning sessions and post-implementation checkpoint with business units to ensure best-in-class solutions are implemented.

  • Builds and evolves an end-to-end budgeting and workflow process that will allow Marketing to become more efficient and impactful.

  • Assists in influencing change and gains support from leadership and key partners for the development of new processes and methods.

  • Develops governance, documentation and training around new processes.

  • Increases efficiency of the organization and end-to-end value stream with process, data, technology, and centralization.

May perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Reporting Relationships: Reports to Director/Manager/Associate Vice President. This is an individual contributor role; may have opportunity to lead virtual/project teams.

Typical Skills and Experiences:

Education: Degree in business-related field preferred. Post-graduate studies a plus.

Experience: Typically, eight or more years demonstrated experience with analytic techniques, statistical methodologies, statistical software and data analysis. Experience with problem solving in a business environment; working with large customer and/or prospect databases; working with product, geographic, demographic data to identify trends and opportunities.

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Proven knowledge of analytic lifecycle, business intelligence, database warehousing applications, structured query language, and qualitative/quantitative research methodologies. Validated excellence in problem solving, analytical, research and quantitative analysis skills and analytical working techniques, including regression, decision trees, multivariate analysis, etc. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in developing ad hoc queries using SQL. Comprehension of Agile methodology framework. Independently knows how to communicate messages, lead interactions and assist in affecting recommendations.

Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.
