Job Title: Computer Vision Scientist

Job Location: Gavà, Barcelona

What You'll Do: 

As a Computer Vision Scientist, you will be at the forefront of our innovations, delivering ML/AI solutions to enable product development and deployment by providing computer vision, image processing, and data science support to the Lubrizol technical community.

This team (and this role) is instrumental in enabling data driven decision making across the enterprise with the use of the right data, tools, and processes. Data science support greatly benefits efficiency and decision making in prioritization and complexity reduction. Computer vision and image analysis needs continue to increase as we aim to gain insights from our data.

What We're Looking For:   

• Develop solutions for image analysis using neural networks and automatic image processing
• Deploy algorithms and create predictive models by mining complex visual data
• Collaborate with business and technical teams on problem solving using data science and deep learning
• Collaborate and consult with data scientists and subject-area experts on machine learning, visualization, algorithms, etc., along with system design and implementation
• Support data analytics systems, including day-to-day operations and troubleshooting
• Conduct training on data analysis methodology and data analysis tools and applications

 Skills That Make a Difference:

• Degree in computer vision, data science, statistics, machine learning, computer science, or closely related field
• Understanding of machine learning methods
• Ability to efficiently process and analyze large complex data
• Experience writing complex code in Python; knowledge of JavaScript, C++, relational databases, and SQL are added pluses
• Strong deductive reasoning skills
• Creativity and curiosity with the ability to learn and apply new concepts quickly
• Ability to interact effectively with a variety of scientists and individuals, including English language skills; Spanish skills a plus
