We are currently looking for a Computer Vision Engineer to join our team based at our VIC (Verkor Innovation Center) at Grenoble.
As such, your role is to prepare prerequisites and provide proper integrated solutions for vision-related projects. This role will work as a team with mechanical and control engineers to research, develop, evaluate, optimize, and deploy various computer vision and deep learning models for different problems.
Your main mission is to think critically and identify potential risks from the engineer's point of view, and to tackle practical problems in manufacturing, with a comprehensive understanding of computer vision systems for hardware, software and interaction with machines, etc.
You will report to the leader of the Manufacturing Solutions & Innovation team and should be capable of designing algorithms independently to fulfill tasks allocated. Structured thinking and data sensitivity are compulsory.
Responsibilities:
Work with team members, to select or design computer vision systems from hardware to software for production line, based on unstructured data like images, etc.
Define requirements and specifications of vision system for appointed scenario
Take ownership to propose, and develop feasible and viable solutions for processes and meet customized requirements
Evaluate feasibility and performance of solution provided by suppliers
Validate, optimize, and deploy computer vision models as integrated system
Report progress and results of vision technology studies to other Verkor departments
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, or a similar discipline. M.S. is preferred.
At least 3 years of working experience on computer vision-related projects. Industrialization experience is mandatory. Having battery manufacturing project experience is preferred.
Sufficient experience with vision Engineering design, including AOI, triggering, orientation, etc.
Deep understanding of computer vision and deep learning algorithms
Proficient with at least one machine learning framework such as Tensorflow, Keras or PyTorch
Experience in training models through GPU computing using NVIDIA CUDA or on cloud
Ability to transform research articles into a working solution for real-world problems
Strong experience in feature engineering with image processing algorithms
Proficient in Python, experience with C++ is a bonus
Must have good object-oriented programming & logical analysis skills
