The School of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences at Arizona State University invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track, benefits-eligible position at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor in the School of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences beginning August 16, 2025. Subsequent academic year renewals (Aug. 16 –May 15) are contingent upon performance, availability of resources, and the needs of the unit.
The essential duties will be to teach undergraduate data science classes (statistics, machine learning) either in-person, online, or both. In addition to instruction, the successful candidate will be expected to mentor undergraduate research/discovery projects and participate in appropriate professional service, which will include some curriculum development and advising.
About the School of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences (SoMSS)
The School offers Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Ph.D. programs in Applied Mathematics, Theoretical Mathematics, Mathematics Education, and Statistics, as well as undergraduate and Master’s programs in Actuarial Science. In addition, the School offers an interdisciplinary Bachelor’s degree program in Data Science, and participates in a cross-college Ph.D. program in Data Science.
