We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Electrical & Battery team.
This is the full time role responsible for following - - Test the cell against datasheet specifications (various chemistries - Li-ion, SS Li-ion, LiS, etc) - Run characterization experiments on the cell as per usage profile - Repeat the experiments in different conditions as per DoE to cover the overall operational envelope of the cell (DoD, Temperature, Mission profiles) - Extract model parameters from the tests - Optimize the model parameters for better accuracy at off-nominal conditions - Validate the cell models - Testing for Cycle Life Estimation - Qualify cells through testing & characterization from a pool of cells to use into our battery packs - Support on building electro-thermal models of cells - Support on creating cell degradation forecasting models using insights from test data - Interact and collaborate with cell manufacturers / suppliers
An ideal candidate for this role should have - - Good understanding of electrochemistry fundamentals - High energy and persistence - Ability to learn on their own - Knowledge of scripting in Python
Tech Skills required - Modeling experience with PyBaMM / GT-Suite (Autolion) - Equivalent circuit modeling of Li-ion cells - Working knowledge of Python for Data Analysis - Knowledge of Cell Testing procedures - Good with design of experiments - Knowledge of HPPC, ARC (Accelerated Rate Calorimetry) tests - Understanding of P2D (Pseudo 2D) models - Knowledge of EIS (Electrochemical Impedence Spectroscopy)
Preferred Qualification & Experience B.Tech or B.E / BS / B.Sc, M.Sc with 2 to 3 years of experience working with Li-ion cells/batteries and Battery Management Systems, Cell/Module Testing
