Position Summary:

Lead business development efforts – identifying, pursuing, and capturing new contracts and opportunities by expanding market reach, forming strategic partnerships, and aligning with Rekor’s growth goals in traffic management, traffic services, and urban mobility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Opportunity Identification & Qualification: Research and identify new business opportunities in traffic management and urban mobility sectors. Evaluate potential leads to determine alignment with Rekor’s strategic goals.
  • Capture Strategy Development: develop and execute comprehensive capture plans to win targeted contracts. Coordinate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to ensure a unified approach. Ensure all proposals meet the client’s requirements and highlight Rekor’s strengths.
  • Competitive Analysis: Analyze marketing trends and competitor activities to inform capture strategies. Monitor and report on industry developments that could impact business opportunities.
  • Risk management: Identify potential risks in capture opportunities and develop mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations throughout the capture process.
  • Performance Tracking and Reporting: Moitor and report on the progress of capture activities, including success rates and lessons learned. Provide regular updates to senior management on pipeline status and strategic initiaitives. Track expenses related to business development initiatives and report on return of investment (ROI).
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry best practices in capture management and business development. Continuously refine and improve capture processes to enhance success rates and efficiency.

Ideal Profile:

  • Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred
  • Strong communication and writing skills
  • Strong research skills 
  • Confident to work independently while collaborating with other teams  
  • Ability to manage competing responsibilities and prioritize accordingly
  • Proven track record to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong MS Office suite proficiency
