Role Overview:
As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you will be at the forefront of driving our growth in the DACH region. Your fluency in German, combined with your ability to engage and build relationships, will be key to unlocking new business opportunities. You'll work closely with our sales and marketing teams, developing targeted strategies and engaging with prospects to help CHEQ thrive in this important market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate quality sales opportunities for the CHEQ Enterprise platform through proactive and strategic prospecting.
- Research accounts to understand prospects' needs and develop plans to educate them on CHEQ’s benefits.
- Use email, cold calls, LinkedIn, and other methods to engage ideal prospects and move them through the sales pipeline.
- Build and nurture strong relationships by understanding client challenges and positioning tailored solutions.
- Manage marketing leads through a defined process, ensuring proper follow-up and tracking.
- Maintain up-to-date records in CRM and other tools, ensuring accurate reporting.
- Meet or exceed assigned BDR metrics, goals, and quarterly targets.
- Stay informed on product updates and industry trends to become a credible resource for prospects.
- Collaborate closely with Account Executives to uncover opportunities and move deals forward at target accounts.
- Work with sales and marketing teams to refine go-to-market strategies for the DACH region, sharing feedback on market trends and customer needs.
- Support successful outbound campaigns in partnership with your Director, VP, and broader team.
Requirements
- Native fluency in both spoken and written German, with excellent writing skills.
- Proven experience in business development or sales; SaaS or tech experience is a strong advantage.
- Hunter mindset: comfortable with outbound cold calling, engaging multiple-level contacts (including executive management), and nurturing leads from marketing campaigns.
- Strong skills in prospecting, lead follow-up, pre-call planning, opportunity qualification, and objection handling to create sales-ready opportunities.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport, influence decision-makers, and effectively demonstrate products.
- Self-starter with high energy, a positive phone presence, and a results-driven, entrepreneurial mindset.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work efficiently in a hybrid environment (in-office 3 days a week).
- Familiarity with the DACH market and its business culture is highly desirable.
