Job Summary:

This position will be for leading and overseeing all aspects of the company's people operation functions. The individual will drive the development and implementation of HR strategies, policies, and programs that support the organization's goals and foster a positive and inclusive work environment. This role requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to drive people-centric initiatives.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

  • HR Strategy and Planning: Develop and execute the HR strategy aligned with the company's business goals. Partner with senior leadership to anticipate and address talent needs, drive organizational effectiveness, and create a culture of high performance.
  • Talent Acquisition and Management: Oversee the full-cycle recruitment process, ensuring the attraction and retention of top talent. Develop talent management programs, including performance management, succession planning, and leadership development initiatives.
  • Employee Relations: Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, performance improvement, and disciplinary actions. Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Performance Management: Deliver the bi-annual performance review process. Develop and manage performance-based programs that align with business objectives. Collaborate with the department leadership team to establish clear performance metrics and targets.
  • Learning and Development: Develop and implement learning and development programs that enhance employee skills, knowledge, and career growth. Promote a culture of continuous learning and provide opportunities for professional development.
  • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to create an inclusive work environment. Champion diversity efforts, implement diversity programs, and promote cultural awareness and sensitivity.
  • Payroll and all HR Operations: Process payrolls according to payroll schedules. Oversee Immigration and HR policies and procedures. Ensure efficient and effective HR processes are in place to support employee needs.
  • Employee Lifecycle Management: Manage seamless employee experience from on-boarding to off-boarding.
  • Office Management: Oversee the office administrative staff in office operations to ensure a well-organized and efficient work environment. Implement procedures that optimize office functionality and enhance employee experience.
  • Budget and Resource Management: Prepare and manage the budget for office operations and facilities. Monitor expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Employee Engagement and Well-being: Develop and implement initiatives to promote employee engagement, well-being, and work-life balance. Foster a positive and inclusive work culture that values employee feedback and promotes employee satisfaction.
  • Compliance and Ethics: Ensure compliance with local labor laws, regulations, and ethical standards. Maintain a strong understanding of employment legislation and industry best practices.

Required Skills/Abilities/Qualifications:

  • 10 years experience in Human Resources
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Extensive experience in HR leadership roles, preferably in a large and complex organization.
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws and regulations.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to align HR initiatives with business goals.
  • Demonstrated experience in driving organizational effectiveness and talent management strategies.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze HR metrics and leverage data for decision-making.
  • Experience with HRIS systems, payroll systems, and HR technology platforms.
  • Experience using Google Drive, Slack, BreezyHR, Namely, and Confluence preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to navigate complex organizational structures and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ethical and confidential handling of sensitive employee information.

Preferred Skills/Abilities/Qualifications:

  • Previous startup experience is preferred
  • PHR/SPHR

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred.

The pay range for this position is $140k - $190k + discretionary annual performance bonus. Pay is dependent on the applicant's relevant experience.
