Our platform serves customers as a standardized machine learning platform within Woven by Toyota as the larger Toyota Group companies.The Enterprise AI Inference team is dedicated to democratizing AI across Toyota. By focusing on simple UX we are working to make AI discoverable and accessible to people with a variety of technical backgrounds. Our work helps to bring intelligent automation into the car development and manufacturing process. WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?We are looking for experienced developers who are excited to build tools and frameworks to support AI workloads and enable solutions for the tail end of the machine learning development lifecycle. This is a hybrid role requiring your presence onsite 3 days per week, where you will report to the senior engineering manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Define architecture and the plan to build scalable, distributed systems
Implement critical systems and business logic while maintaining reliability
Work with other teams to maximize infrastructure usage and build efficient solutions for complex tasks, using English to collaborate
As an experienced developer, establish automation and CI/CD to increase development velocity
Provide support such as analysis and monitoring, and act as part of the team for on-call responsibility for production incidents
Help to onboard new customers, accommodate their technical needs and answer engineering question in the support channel
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience
5+ years in programming, with experience using Golang, Rust, Java or other statically typed and compiled programming languages
2+ years with Kubernetes and container technologies in production environments, especially event-driven, distributed, and cloud architectures
Knowledge of best practices for scalability, reliability, and security and DevOps best practices
NICE TO HAVES
Experience working with Japanese customers or clients.
Experience in the automotive industry or knowledge of automotive software development
Experience working in environments with a focus on security and reliability
