Catalyx is seeking a Automation Engineer with strong Allen-Bradley PLC and HMI expertise to support the integration, programming, and commissioning of new packaging and assembly lines.

Join a growing service delivery team providing project implementation, technical support, and customer training for specialized automation and software solutions used in regulated manufacturing environments. You’ll play a key role in ensuring customer success across European sites through hands-on system setup, validation, and troubleshooting.


Role Responsibilities:
  • Program, configure, and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLCs (ControlLogix, CompactLogix) and HMIs (FactoryTalk View ME/SE)

  • Support installation, I/O checkout, and commissioning of packaging and assembly equipment

  • Collaborate with OEMs, integrators, and internal teams to ensure smooth integration of new machines

  • Assist in the development and execution of FAT/SAT, IQ/OQ validation documentation (especially in regulated environments)

  • Diagnose and resolve control system issues during startup and production

  • Ensure adherence to internal controls standards, safety systems, and industry best practices

  • Participate in automation documentation and change control processes



Requirements

Role Requirements:

  • 3–7 years of experience in industrial automation, preferably in machine automation

  • Strong hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and HMIs (ControlLogix, RSLogix 5000, Studio 5000, FactoryTalk)

  • Familiarity with packaging and assembly line automation in manufacturing environments

  • Experience with system commissioning, startup support, and troubleshooting in fast-paced environments

  • Exposure to validation protocols and compliance requirements (especially in pharma, food, or medical device industries) is a plus

  • Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills
