Key Responsibilities
Contribute to curriculum development, innovation, enhancement and quality assurance in the undergraduate and postgraduate curriculum
Develop and deliver innovative and excellent teaching, learning, and assessment experiences for undergraduate and postgraduate students
Conduct world-class research, maintaining an active record of high quality publications, grants, and Ph.D. student supervision
Contribute to the development and implementation of a research strategy for the School of Information Technology consistent with the research priorities of Monash University Malaysia and Monash University
Contribute to the development of strong collaborations with other universities and with government, industry, and/or civil society to drive research impact and educational excellence
Contribute to the management of education, research, and/or administration in the School, including coaching, mentorship, leadership, and effective performance management
Lead the School’s research in thematic areas and mentor junior staff in educational, research, or career development matters

A strong record of successful and innovative curriculum development
An outstanding record of teaching which demonstrates a commitment to educational innovation
An excellent research record, demonstrated by world-class publications, grants and PhD supervision
A strong record in research leadership including generating research income, leading major research projects and, where relevant, building research teams
Ability to promote the discipline internally within the university as well as externally, both nationally and internationally
Demonstrated skills and experience in collaboration and leadership
Eligible to register with the Malaysian Board of Technologists (MBOT) as a Professional Technologist

The Opportunity
A Level D academic is expected to make a significant contribution to all activities of the organisational unit or interdisciplinary area and play a significant role within their profession or discipline. Academics at this level may be appointed in recognition of distinction in their disciplinary area. In more detail, the academic is expected to lead the School’s research in thematic areas, and contribute significantly to the School’s long-term educational and research strategies. The appointee will be expected to contribute to the school and every effort will be made to assist with the development of personal and professional links with the appropriate groups of researchers.
