As an Associate Machine Learning Engineer, you will be developing tools and technologies that leverage data from a variety of sources to increase supply chain efficiencies and provide value to our customers.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Managing the effective design, deployment, implementation and monitoring of complex Data Science, Machine Learning and Software solutions as part of a team.
  • Implementation and management of CI/CD, automation, testing, data validation and drift detection within a cloud environment and utilizing Databricks.
  • Engage with both internal and external customers, understanding business requirements and communicating complex concepts with clarity and simplicity
  •  Effectively advocate for embedding of MLOps best practices.
  •  Learning and evaluation of new tools and technologies and exploring their viability on current projects.
  • ·Work as part of a cross functional agile team, engaging in planning, execution and communication of work.
  • Contribute within the community of Machine Learning Engineers and Data Scientists within the Data Science Chapter.

Previous Experience:

Essential

  • Have worked autonomously and delivered results on schedule.
  • Understanding of coding principles and concepts:
  • Object Oriented Design.
  • Unit Testing.
  • Experience with or study of a broad range of Data Science tools, technologies and packages.
  • Basic understanding of cloud technologies and some experience with them.
  •  Researched and developed complex technology to solve a problem in a commercial or academic context.
  • Demonstrated capacity for growth and development.
  • Data Storytelling and effective communication.

 Desirable

  • History of delivery of high-quality production Software/Machine Learning solutions.

    Proactively embedding ML Ops and Software Development best practices in cross functional teams.

    Supply Chain Domain Knowledge.

  • Ideal Tooling Experience
    Python, SQL, Pyspark, MLFlow, Databricks, AWS, shell/bash, Pytorch/Tensorflow

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Physical Sciences, Data Science, Engineering Mathematics (STEM) and/or equivalent formal training plus work experience.
  • Experience relevant to the building, deployment and monitoring of Data Science Software and Machine Learning systems.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Master’s or PhD level degree.
  • Qualifications/Certifications relevant to the building, deploying and monitoring of Data Science Software & Machine Learning systems.
  • 2+ years of work experience as a Software Engineer, Data Scientist or similar.
  • Experience in managing deployments of Data Science and Machine Learning solutions at scale.

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong desire to continuously learn and develop technical skills.
  • Proficiency with cloud computing environments.
  • Research and new algorithm development experience.
