The Team:  

You will be joining a dynamic and rapidly expanding organization within the S&P Global Market Intelligence division, becoming an integral part of a team of highly motivated and professional Data Scientists. This team is dedicated to extracting valuable insights and knowledge from complex datasets to drive innovation and solve strategic business challenges. What distinguishes this team is its strong emphasis on empirical evidence, continuous learning, and a balanced approach to technical rigor, creative problem-solving, and delivering tangible value through data-driven solutions. Currently, the team's focus is on implementing several enterprise-scale projects powered by cutting-edge GenAI technology. 

Responsibilities & Impact: 

You will play a pivotal role in driving our business forward by leading key projects and mentoring junior team members. Your contributions will directly benefit our clients, delivering more accurate predictions, tailored experiences, and innovative solutions that boost customer satisfaction and strengthen our competitive advantage. 

  • Lead the development and implementation of cutting-edge large-scale AI systems, driving innovation in the field. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, project managers, and product managers, to translate business requirements into sophisticated solutions. 

  • Apply advanced statistical analysis and machine learning techniques to extract actionable insights from extensive financial datasets. 

  • Conduct research and evaluate new methodologies, tools, and algorithms in data-driven credit risk analytics and AI to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of our products. 

  • Communicate complex results effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through clear presentations, visualizations, and reports. 

  • Stay at the forefront of advancements in GenAI, continuously integrating the latest innovations to drive product development and maintain our competitive advantage. 

 

What we’re looking for:

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Thought Leadership: Partner with cross-functional teams to transform data insights into actionable business strategies, driving positive outcomes for clients and markets through data-driven solutions. Lead in thought leadership by leveraging your expertise to guide the organization's data strategy and establish yourself as an industry authority in data science and analytics. 

  • Educational Background: Hold a Bachelor's / Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field, with a specialization in machine learning. 

  • Project Leadership: Demonstrate experience in leading data science projects, particularly in financial risk and deep learning, with a proven track record of success. 

  • Technical Proficiency: Possess strong programming skills in languages such as Python, along with experience in deep learning frameworks and cloud-based computational platforms. 

  • Analytical Expertise: Exhibit a deep understanding of statistical analysis, coupled with critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. 

  • Mentorship Ability: Show aptitude for mentoring and guiding junior data scientists to foster their growth. 

  • Continuous Learning: Display curiosity and a commitment to staying current with emerging technologies and advancements in Deep Learning, GenAI, and related fields. 

  • Collaborative Vision: Work effectively across teams to contribute to the development and execution of the overall data science strategy and vision.
