Akamai Legal is a highly-experienced global team of professionals. Team is dedicated to advancing Akamai's business interests and next phase of growth while simultaneously protecting its assets and reputation. We embrace the complexity of working at the intersection of rapid innovation and regularly evolving laws. The Legal team currently consists of over sixty professionals located around the world.

Partner with the best

You will work closely with our Legal and Sales teams. You'll become a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders across the business.

As an Associate Counsel, you will be responsible for:

• Preparing, reviewing and negotiating contracts and other commercial documents in English with Akamai's suppliers, customers, and partners.
• Supporting commercial team work on a global basis.
• Researching on legal and regulatory risk matters associated with 3rd party suppliers, sales, networks.
• Assuring conformity and consistency in application of Akamai's legal and business policies and practices.

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Demonstrate legal experience in private practice or in-house, focusing on contract review (NDA, MSA, SAAS).
• Understand commercial law, intellectual property rights, data protection, and common versus civil law systems.
• Have excellent contract drafting skills in English.
• Have an understanding of IT/technology sector.
• Demonstrate verbal and written English communication skills for legal negotiations via phone or video. A second foreign language (German or French) is advantageous.
• Have sound business judgement especially in ambiguous situations.
• Have the ability to prioritize in a fast-moving environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional legal teams and demonstrate openness to learning new practice areas.
