The Division of Computer Science and Engineering (www.cse.lsu.edu) within the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Louisiana State University (LSU) - Baton Rouge invites applications for multiple tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor positions starting January or August 2025. LSU is the flagship R1 University of Louisiana with extensive research and educational resources. This is an exciting time to join LSU, as we are making significant investments to expand our research and educational capabilities in areas critical to national security and technological advancement. CS faculty jointly maintain a robust, multimillion-dollar externally funded portfolio and have a strong record in research and graduate training (MS and PhD degrees), supported by ongoing federal, state, and industry-funded projects. Additionally, the division collaborates closely with the local, active startup scene, and faculty are supported to pursue startups and technology transfer focused funding (e.g., like that from the NSF TIP Directorate). Excellent opportunities exist for collaboration with the ECE division and other departments in and out of the College of Engineering, including the Center for Computation and Technology. LSU High Performance Computing provides state-of-the-art supercomputing and storage facilities enabling research collaborations across diverse fields.
Our academic program is ABET accredited, and our cybersecurity program is recognized as one of the best in the nation, being designated as a Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Operations (CAE-CO) —one of only 21 in the country. The division is experiencing an all-time high enrollment, and we expect continued growth for the foreseeable future.
