Artificial Intelligence Technical Program Manager

Key Role:

Design, implement, and maintain strategic, multi-disciplinary artificial intelligence (AI) programs in support of client strategy. Apply advanced consulting skills, extensive technical expertise, and full industry knowledge. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction, and mentor and supervise team members. Lead our dynamic team as a highly-skilled Technical AI Product Manager. Think strategically and manage the product lifecycle from ideation to deployment, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs. Lead the product development lifecycle for AI-driven products, from concept to production. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, data science, and software development, to define product requirements and roadmaps that support government needs. Translate government gaps and needs into detailed product specifications and technical requirements. Prioritize product features and enhancements based on market research, user feedback, and competitive analysis. Manage the product backlog and ensure timely delivery of product milestones. Monitor and analyze product performance metrics to drive continuous improvement and optimization. Stay current with the latest AI trends, technologies, and best practices to inform product strategy. Communicate product vision, strategy, and updates to stakeholders, including senior management and external partners.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience with product management and focusing on AI or machine learning software products

  • 5+ years of experience with translating government gaps and needs into detailed product specifications and technical requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with project management, including spend plan management, variance monitoring, risk management, and reporting

  • 5+ years of experience with DoD clients

  • 5+ years of experience with managing product backlog to ensure timely delivery of product milestones

  • 5+ years of experience with developing and monitoring product performance metrics to drive continuous improvement and optimization

  • Experience with launching and managing AI-driven software products successfully

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Data Science

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines for production

  • Experience with running Agile methodologies and ceremonies and tools, including Jira

  • Experience with prioritizing product features and enhancements based on market research, user feedback, and competitive analysis

  • Knowledge of AI technologies, including machine learning, natural language processing, LLMs, and computer vision

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities

  • Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field

  • PMP Certification

  • Scrum Master Certification (CSM)

    Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
