The AI Developer will work in collaboration with stakeholders across Data and Analytics to support ongoing projects and initiatives. The successful incumbent will support the build and optimization of AI models, including developing, testing, validating, and implementing AI algorithms for use cases. The AI Developer will collaborate with a variety of stakeholders including, data scientists, technology partners, and other domain experts to develop, implement, test, validate and monitor AI model performance. This is an individual contributor role.

  • Support the build and optimization of AI models; including developing, testing/validation, and implementing AI algorithms for use cases.
  • Collaborates with data scientists, technology partners, and other domain experts to develop, implement, and test/validate AI solutions for stakeholders.
  • Monitor AI model performance.
  • Translates user needs into technical specifications by understanding, conceptualizing, and facilitating technical requirements from user.​
  • Analyzes, develops, tests, and implements new software programs, and documentation of entire software development life cycle execution.
  • Performs preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting and fault rectification of system and core software components​.
  • Ensures that code/configurations adhere to the security, logging, error handling, and performance standards and non-functional requirements.​
  • Evaluates new technologies for fit with the program/system/eco-system and the associated upstream and downstream impacts on process, data, and risk.
  • Follows release management processes and standards, and applies version controls. ​
  • Assists in interpreting and documentation of client requirements.​
  • Operates at a group/enterprise-wide level and serves as a specialist resource to senior leaders and stakeholders.
  • Applies expertise and thinks creatively to address unique or ambiguous situations and to find solutions to problems that can be complex and non-routine.
  • Implements changes in response to shifting trends.
  • Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in computer science, data science, mathematics or related fields. Ideally a Masters' Degree or PhD level program.
  • 5+ years developing AI and ML solutions/models
  • Proficient in Python, Pyspark
  • Strong understanding of unsupervised machine learning methods, deep learning, and reinforcement learning, convolution networks (CNG), statistics, hyper perimeter tuning,
  • Data management skills; handling and processing large datasets, deep understanding of structured and unstructured data, and proficient with data lakes, data engineering, data wrangling, demonstrate understanding of entity resolution concepts, human behavior related data, constructing confidence intervals
  • 2+ years experience in Financial Services (Banking)

Salary:

$92,400.00 - $171,600.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
