Job Description

For those who dream of applying Artificial Intelligence to address critical problems like climate change, the training of first responders or protecting our sovereignty, the ADGA Group offers exciting opportunities in the R&D Group.

ADGA has applied Machine Learning to data fusion, the merging inputs from multiple spaceborne sensors to develop a real time picture of human activity, monitor maritime traffic around our coasts in all weather conditions or detect man-made change.

ADGA specializes in the design of Synthetic Environments used for personnel training or the development of tactics for firefighting, operating dangerous equipment or driving military vehicles for example. A current area of research consists in the application of Large-Language Models for the purpose of making these simulators more intuitive and immersive.

You will join our highly skilled R&D team as they continue to develop AI-powered software for data analytics, modeling & simulation as well as Earth observation in a cloud-native, microservice environment. You will be working with a wide range of technologies such as Python, Kubernetes, Docker, and TensorFlow. The ideal candidate is passionate about developing Machine Learning powered, sensor-based technology. She/he is self-starter who brings original ideas and dedication to a growing team of AI/ML experts.

  • You demonstrate a passion for Machine Learning and software development;
  • You’re comfortable developing software in a cloud-native, microservice environment;
  • You’re interested in exploring exciting new data fusion, Earth Observation applications;
  • You pride yourself in writing clean, well-documented, and efficient code;
  • You’re an innovative thinker but you welcome working in a team.

Qualifications

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science; or equivalent mix of experience and education;
  • Minimum two years experience of industry experience in AI; or mix of experience and an advanced degree;
  • Strong programming skills (Python, TypeScript);
  • Strong interest in Machine Learning (TensorFlow);
  • Experience working in a containerized environment (Docker);
  • Affinity for problem solving and innovation;
  • Familiarity with Linux command line;
  • Team skills and oral communication.

Additional Information

  • Ability to obtain and hold a Canadian government Secret level security clearance
