The Gist…

As our internal Solutions Architect, your enthusiasm for technology and business development will fuel the growth of our amazing   company. Working directly with the Chief Information Officer, you will   leverage your expertise and work with directly with Amivero’s Growth and   Delivery teams, our current and future customers, industry partners, and our   leadership team to ensure the expansion of Amivero’s technical footprint   across the Federal Government. You will play a crucial role in designing,   developing, and implementing AI-driven solutions across various business   functions. You will also lead AI initiatives, developing scalable and robust   architectures, and ensuring the seamless integration of AI technologies into   existing business processes.

What Your Day Might Include…

  • Lead the design and development of AI   architectures that align with business goals. This includes the selection of   machine learning models, deep learning algorithms, and AI techniques suited   to solve specific business challenges.
  • Develop new and existing relationships with   both Industry Partners and Clients. Gather and understand their areas   requiring improvement and support, understand their constraints, and   understand the elements needed to develop a winning solution.
  • Communicate and collaborate with Business   Development Team(s).
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to drive   success. Stakeholders include, but are not limited to COP’s, Marketing,   Growth and Delivery.
  • Establish the technical vision for AI   projects, ensuring that architectural blueprints are scalable, secure, and   high performing.
  • Ensure modular design principles to support   continuous learning and evolution of AI models as new data and requirements   emerge.
  • Engage with various stakeholders (business   leaders, product managers, engineers, and end-users) to understand business   requirements and translate them into technical AI solutions.
  • Act as a liaison between technical teams and   business units, ensuring that AI initiatives align with strategic business   objectives and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Present AI concepts, outcomes, and technical   roadmaps in clear and non-technical terms to executive leadership and other   non-technical stakeholders.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of AI model   development, from research and prototyping to deployment and monitoring.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines for AI models,   ensuring that they are regularly updated, retrained, and deployed with   minimal downtime or performance degradation.
  • Define and implement mechanisms for tracking   model performance, such as monitoring drift in data or model predictions, and establishing feedback loops for continuous learning.
  • Ensure AI systems can operate at scale,   handling large volumes of data and performing in real-time, where necessary.
  • Lead post-deployment maintenance efforts,   addressing issues like model decay and retraining based on new data inputs.
  • Define data acquisition, storage, and   processing strategies that ensure high-quality input data for AI models.
  • Oversee data preprocessing and feature   engineering processes to ensure model readiness. This includes handling   missing data, imbalances, and transformations required for model performance.
  • Establish data governance policies to ensure   data quality, privacy, and compliance with regulatory requirements like GDPR,   CCPA, or industry-specific standards.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to data   scientists, machine learning engineers, and software developers on AI and   machine learning best practices.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) in AI   technologies and methodologies, staying up to date on the latest trends and   advancements in the AI landscape, including advancements in NLP, computer   vision, reinforcement learning, and AI ethics.
  • Encourage innovation within the AI team by   promoting experimentation and research into new AI technologies and   techniques.
  • Lead AI code reviews, ensuring high-quality   coding standards and best practices for performance, scalability, and   security are adhered to.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of AI tools,   libraries, and platforms, assessing their suitability for the organization’s   specific AI needs.
  • Stay informed about new developments in AI/ML   software and hardware, such as specialized GPUs, TPUs, or edge computing   solutions, and recommend their adoption when beneficial.
  • Build and maintain relationships with vendors   and service providers to ensure access to cutting-edge AI tools and   resources.
  • Facilitate proof-of-concept projects to test   emerging AI technologies and determine their potential business value before   full-scale adoption.
  • Lead the implementation of AI governance   frameworks, ensuring that AI models operate within defined ethical guidelines   and regulations.
  • Establish processes for auditing AI decisions,   ensuring that they are explainable, fair, and unbiased, especially in   critical applications like hiring, lending, or medical diagnosis.
  • Develop AI risk management strategies,   identifying potential model failures, security vulnerabilities, or biased   outcomes, and ensuring mitigation strategies are in place.
  • Implement AI transparency frameworks that   allow stakeholders to understand how AI models make decisions and allow them   to question or challenge those decisions when necessary.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including AI architecture diagrams, data flow diagrams, and API documentation   for AI systems.
  • Regularly document lessons learned from AI   deployments, creating a knowledge base to improve future AI initiatives.
  • Produce detailed reports for stakeholders,   covering project progress, performance metrics, return on investment (ROI)   estimates, and potential risks or challenges.
  • Develop and present case studies on successful   AI implementations, showcasing the value delivered to the organization and   promoting further AI adoption across departments.

Requirements

You’ll Bring These   Qualifications…

  • US Citizenship required to obtain Public Trust
  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in software engineering, AI, or data science roles, with at least 3+ years focused on AI solution architecture.
  • Strong understanding of machine learning techniques, natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, deep learning frameworks, and AI ethics.
  • Hands-on experience with AI platforms such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn, and familiarity with cloud-based AI solutions (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud AI, Azure).
  • Expertise in data engineering and data pipelines, including ETL processes, distributed systems, and database management (SQL and NoSQL).
  • Strong programming skills in Python, R, and knowledge of languages such as Java or C++.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML model deployment technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage AI projects end-to-end, from conceptualization to deployment.
