We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Data Science to lead and scale our AI initiatives across the enterprise. This individual will be responsible for driving data-driven strategies that enhance business decision-making, optimize operations, and personalize customer experiences. The Director of Data Science will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that data science initiatives align with H&M vision and drive measurable impact.
Key responsibilities:
Lead and mentor a team of Data Science Managers, providing strategic guidance, setting performance goals, and fostering a collaborative and innovative environment
Collaborate with stakeholders to define the strategic direction, aligning it with business goals and customer needs
Work with business domains on showing the art of the possible and guide them within the use of (gen)AI
Define high-level KPIs and targets for the area
Driving program enhancements and optimizing delivery outcomes
Bachelor's or master's degree in a quantitative field
At least 8 years of experience within Data Science / AI or similar areas
A background in retail, supply chain or e-commerce is highly beneficial
Proven experience in leadership roles within data science or AI. Preferably experience in leading managers.
Proven track record of delivering measurable business impact through productionized AI solutions
Strong proficiency in forecasting, optimization and model testing strategies.
Knowledge on GenAI is up-to-date and having started implementing this is a plus
Experience with delivering ML and data science on cloud platforms (Google Vertex, AWS SageMaker or Azure ML)
Excellent problem-solving and project management skills
