Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Drive innovation in the areas of sustainability for the built environment and human wellbeing, focusing on energy use, thermal comfort, air quality and building controls topics.
  • Co-create with business units in relation to sustainability initiatives, contribute to long-term product portfolio of Bosch, perform customer interview, formulate problem statements and generate innovation pitching and research proposals.
  • Develop prototypes of AI/ML solutions to solve real business and engineering problems in the areas of optimal building control and human wellbeing improvement. Plan and execute experiments for proof of concept. Assist engineering team in the integration and implementation of the solutions in Bosch products.
  • Build cooperation, assess opportunities, identify “Best-In-Class” within local institutions and universities for potential research / innovation collaboration.
  • Regular alignment with Strategic Research Portfolio Owner, quarterly review project or milestone update, internal/external stakeholder management, idea pitching via Bosch Innovation Framework.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Min. Master or PhD degree in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Information, Mathematics, or relevant technical field.
  • Experience with Python, C++, Java or other related programming languages
  • Experience with deep learning frameworks such as Pytorch or Tensorflow and machine learning libraries such as scikit-learn.
  • High awareness of recent research and development methods about sustainability of the build environment, UX, thermal comfort, energy management and able to translate these research methods into functional prototype, demonstrate to customers.
  • Min. 3 years’ working experience as R&D building machine learning models for business application experience, relevant software development, data analytics, digitalization.
  • Experience with any cloud computing platform and/or IoT systems is preferred
  • Entrepreneur (start-up) and product industrialization experience will be highly appreciated.
  • Passion for innovation, entrepreneurial spirit, excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work both independently and in a team, good working attitude, able to adapt in a dynamic environment.
