This role is essential in shaping the future of Ampere’s AI products.  As a leading member of our tech team, you will work closely with cross-functional groups, ensuring successful customer AI integrations.  What you'll achieve:
  • Lead Ampere’s research initiatives to develop and implement LLM-based AI models 
  • Research model-level optimization techniques for efficient AI inference 
  • Help with implementation, testing and evaluating the performance of these models and algorithms across heterogenous hardware architectures 
  • Explore and assess AI technologies and methodologies to advance our platforms. 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Software/Hardware Engineering and Pathfinding teams to integrate AI solutions into Ampere’s product offerings. 
  • Prepare and present updates on AI projects to senior leadership. 
About you:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s or PhD preferred. 
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in AI model research & development, including experience with machine learning and large-scale data systems. 
  • Previously published research in peer-reviewed journals on relevant AI algorithms. 
  • Expertise in AI frameworks, architectures, tools and programming languages (such as Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch), and data analytics. 
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment. 
What we’ll offer:   At Ampere we believe in taking care of our employees and providing a competitive total rewards package that includes base pay, bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits. The full base pay range for this role is between $163,100 and $271,900, except in the San Francisco Bay Area where the range is between $171,800 and $286,300. We offer an annual bonus program tied to internal company goals and annual meritocratic equity awards that enable our employees to participate in the success of the company.
