Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer to join our team and help cultivate our scaling AI solutions team. As an AI Engineer, you will be working on solutions that incorporate internal ML / NLP models, foundational and LLM models, and semantic search that expand our AI footprint on the Datasite Platform. 

This is a hybrid role in Heredia, Costa Rica; all our employees currently work in-office 1 day per week In-office days can increase/change at anytime.  

Main Responsibilities:  

•  Develop prompt templates, orchestration chains, and agents using Large Language Models (LLMs) and NLP techniques. 
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team of Data Scientists, Engineers, and Product Managers to develop AI-enabled products and features. 
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality technical work by writing clean code and implementing sufficient tests. 
• Architect and design scalable and maintainable solutions utilizing Python 
• Work closely with technical leadership to plan and prioritize software development projects. 

Requirements: 

•  Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent industry experience in mathematics, statistics, machine learning, natural language processing, computer science 
• 3+ years experience building services in Python (or similar object-oriented programming languages) and working with projects that follow the Software Development Lifecycle 
• Experience (or exposure) with AI and Machine Learning techniques. 

• Knowledge of microservices architecture a plus

• Exposure to text mining, Natural Language Processing and Understanding 

• Training or work experience in Data Science 
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle. 
• Knowledge of cloud technologies, such as Azure, AWS, Google Cloud or similar. 
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines. 
• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, for clear communication and collaboration. 
• Passion for Agile methodology with the flexibility to think outside the scrum. You can think on your feet, collaborate with your team and others, and take ownership of your work. 
• Commitment to delivering high-quality software. You want to be part of a team dedicated to creating and delivering excellent products. 
• Excellent communication skills. This role involves working with a team that innovates together. You will need to listen, engage, and present to external teams and senior project managers confidently. 
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically. 
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment 
• Experience in data handling and data analysis
