Project Overview:

The AI/ML position would be supporting multiple Bechtel functions and GBUs on AI/ML projects within the corporate AI/ML development team.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled AI/ML Software Developer with 5-8 years of experience to join our team in developing and deploying cutting-edge artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions for a large enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing AI/ML models, integrating them into scalable applications, and working with cross-functional teams to drive innovation. 

The candidate will work with our projects, functions, data scientists, and data engineers, to translate business goals into actionable product requirements, ensuring AI solutions meet customer needs and provide value.  

This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership

Major Responsibilities:

We are seeking a highly skilled AI/ML Software Developer with 5-8 years of experience to join our team in developing and deploying cutting-edge artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions for a large enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing AI/ML models, integrating them into scalable applications, and working with cross-functional teams to drive innovation. 

The candidate will work with our projects, functions, data scientists, and data engineers, to translate business goals into actionable product requirements, ensuring AI solutions meet customer needs and provide value. 

  • Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML models for enterprise applications. 
  • Collaborate with data engineers, software developers, and business stakeholders to define and refine AI-driven solutions. 
  • Implement machine learning algorithms and models using frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, and others. 
  • Optimize ML models for performance, scalability, and accuracy. 
  • Develop and maintain APIs and microservices for AI/ML integration into enterprise applications. 
  • Work with large-scale datasets, performing data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model validation. 
  • Deploy AI models using cloud-based platforms such as Azure AI/ML.
  • Continuously monitor and improve deployed models for performance and business impact. 
  • Ensure AI/ML solutions align with enterprise security, compliance, and governance standards. 
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI, ML, and deep learning. 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent)
    • Level 1 - 5-7 yrs
    • Level 2 - 7 to 10 yrs

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong programming skills in Python, or R, or Java with experience in AI/ML libraries. 
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure AI/ML). 
  • Proficiency in big data processing technologies such as Databricks, Azure Data Factory, or Kafka. 
  • Expertise in AI/ML frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, or Scikit-learn. 
  • Experience with NLP, Computer Vision, Deep Learning, and Generative AI models. 
  • Strong knowledge of MLOps, CI/CD for AI model deployment, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). 
  • Familiarity with data engineering, ETL pipelines, and SQL/NoSQL databases. 
  • Experience working in an enterprise environment with large-scale AI deployments. 
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in AI technologies. 
  • Knowledge of machine learning, natural language processing, and data analytics. 
  • Strong python programming skills. 
  • Knowledge of TensorFlow, PyTorch or Microsoft Cognitive Toolkit. 
  • Advanced level Azure Cloud and Azure AI stack experience 
  • Experience in Azure Databricks, PowerBI or visualization platforms 
  • Knowledge of MLOps practices for managing the AI lifecycle. 
  • Managing the entire product lifecycle, from planning and development to deployment and updates. 
  • Strong organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills. 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience with LLMs (Large Language Models) and Generative AI. 
  • Understanding of data privacy, security, and AI ethics in enterprise applications. 
  • Certifications in AI/ML (Azure AI Engineer Associate, AWS Certified Machine Learning, etc.).
