Are you passionate about the intersection of Artificial Intelligence (AI), workforce strategy, and organizational development? Join us for a unique internship reporting to the Global Head of Talent Acquisition, in close collaboration with our Data Science & AI experts. This internship can also serve as a Master’s thesis or a PhD research project.

As an AI & Workforce Transformation Analyst, you will develop and apply a robust methodology to analyze the impact of Artificial Intelligence on Accelleron’s global workforce. You will assess the extent and nature of AI’s influence on various job families—considering the likelihood and intensity of transformation, changes in required skills, and reskilling needs. Your final output will be a proposal for a strategic workforce transformation plan, detailing tailored interventions per job group to upskill, redeploy, or transform talent.

Your responsibilities:

  • Conduct desk research on AI-driven job transformation and labor market trends
  • Analyze Accelleron’s global job landscape, including job descriptions, families, and workforce distribution
  • Develop a tailored classification model to assess AI impact across roles, based on existing frameworks (e.g. OECD, WEF, MIT-IBM), evaluating job exposure and AI complementarity
  • Define upskilling and workforce transition strategies, including timeframes
  • Validate findings through interviews with subject matter experts, HR Business Partners, and AI specialists
  • Recommend cluster- or role-specific action plans to future-proof the workforce
  • Align with other Accelleron teams or workstreams (e.g. AI & Data Science, Strategic Workforce Planning, AI Engagement) for organizational coherence
  • Ground all work in academic standards and relevant literature, with the option to evolve the internship into a formal research paper
  • Contribute to additional strategic projects within the Talent Acquisition team

Your background:

  • Master’s studies or early-stage PhD in Data Science, Organizational Psychology, Business, Law, Political Science, or related fields—especially with a focus on labor markets, digital transformation, or technology policy
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking; confident working with complex datasets and abstract models
  • Deep interest in AI/automation and its implications for work and skills
  • Self-driven, curious, and comfortable navigating ambiguity
  • Skilled in translating complex insights into clear, actionable strategies
  • Fluent in English; German is a plus
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work with diverse global teams

Duration: minimum 6 months

Start date: flexible, can be August/September

Your benefits:

  • Flexible working models
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • Potential academic co-supervision for thesis or publication
