Description
The AI Systems Analyst at Cook County Health (CCH) serves as a subject matter expert in AI solutions, providing guidance to leadership and cross-functional teams. This role focuses on advising on best practices, supporting architecture creation, ensuring compliance, and optimizing AI capabilities. The AI Systems Analyst is responsible for fostering a culture of trust and responsible AI usage. CCH is a fast-paced, multi-priority environment where team members face new challenges daily.
Responsibilities:
• Guide the full lifecycle of AI initiatives, from strategy to evaluation, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of AI tools and platforms, advising on their effective use.
• Support AI data systems administration, ensuring data accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with leaders to support scalable AI architecture design and implementation.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and proactively mitigate potential AI risks.
• Analyze KPIs for AI initiatives and provide strategic recommendations.
• Collaborate with IT, data science, cybersecurity, and business teams to align AI strategies and integrate initiatives into digital transformation efforts.
• Advise leadership on best practices and provide technical support for AI-related architecture.
• Prepare reports on AI project status, including risk assessments and compliance metrics.
• Advocate for ethical AI practices and foster trust through transparency and stakeholder engagement.
• Assist in establishing AI governance processes and support policy creation.
• Review and update CCH policies to integrate AI considerations, ensuring alignment with regulatory compliance and organizational objectives.
• Respond to AI-related information requests and support special projects.
• Perform other duties as needed to support departmental goals.

Requirements
Education Level And/or Relevant Experience
· BA/BS Information Technology or relevant experience.
· 5+ years of experience working on systems development projects ideally related to ML/AI/LLM
· Strong analytical and design skills with great written and oral communications skills
· Working knowledge of relational databases and data modeling with experience in writing SQL queries (views, procedures, functions).
· Business Intelligence/Reporting working knowledge with ability to build customized complex data solutions.
· Strong organization and prioritization skills
