As AI Solutions Program Manager, your role will be pivotal in defining and developing the AI strategy for our organisation and driving a sustainable intake process for new AI experiments. You will work closely with AI experts and partners executing AI projects and experiments, ensuring the delivery of innovative AI Solutions using the latest AI and Generative AI technologies. Your focus will also encompass driving productivity improvements, ensuring prioritisation of use-cases and experiments and fostering trust with internal and external stakeholders. Critical in this role is to identify use-case trends that can support and prioritise features into our AI capabilities roadmap.  

Lastly, in your role you will ensure compliance (AI Governance and Responsible AI) on experiments you oversee as well as usage of the right tooling (MLOps and LLMops) to track AI model performance by discussing AI architecture with our AI Architect and ensuring proper model validation takes place. You will be an integral part of the AIML and Decision Sciences team, which operates within the global supply chain (GSC) digital and tech division, contributing to its strategic objectives and innovation.

In this role you will

  • Direct the entire lifecycle of AI programs, aligning with organizational objectives and AI Governance standards.
  • Evangelise and up-skill of AI and Gen AI across business and tech to create awareness and promote AI.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define program objectives, deliverables, and scope, incorporating LLMops and MLOps best practices including supporting technology selection.
  • Priorities work in our AI Capabilities roadmaps as well collaborate with other technical groups through PI planning.
  • Connect and strategize on new AI capabilities with our strategic partners: Microsoft, Google, and Databricks.
  • Develop comprehensive program plans, including timelines, budgets, value release, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor program progress and adapt strategies as needed to ensure successful delivery, leveraging LLMops and MLOps integration (ModelOps).
  • Communicate program updates, potential risks, and issues to stakeholders effectively, maintaining transparency and governance standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of AI advancements, LLMops, and MLOps to drive innovation within the company.
  • Oversee the design and execution of AI experiments and technical spikes to validate hypotheses and accelerate innovation.
  • Provide mentorship to team members, promoting a culture of excellence, continuous improvement, and adherence to AI best practices.
  • Direct accountability for delivering AI experiments to fruition.
  • Collaborate with Data Product Owners to influence use of best AI practices.
  • Management of project financials and team resources.
  • Contribute to shaping GSK's AI strategy and its operationalisation.
  • Supporting setting best practices and standard for AI and Generative AI.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field
  • Extensive professional experience within Program/Project Management
  • Experience managing projects within AI or tech-driven domains.
  • Hands-on experience writing code (Python)
  • Experience with full AI/ML model lifecycle
  • Experience presenting to business and tech stakeholders
  • Experience and knowledge of AI technologies and their application in a pharmaceutical context.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

  • PhD in a relevant field
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
  • Experience working in a global and diverse environment.
  • Strong ability to work closely with technical teams.
