Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative GenAI Developer to join our Global Design Frontend Engineering team. You will play a pivotal role in revolutionizing our development processes by leveraging the power of generative AI. In this role, you will work closely with a tight knit AI focused group of Designers, Engineers and Product Owners to build creative solutions supporting our Global Design Organization at Visa. You will help leadership with their efforts in identifying areas that could best take advantage of AI to benefit all functional areas at Visa.

Role responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with leadership team to create AI-powered solutions to support the Global Design Organization
  • Develop and implement GenAI solutions to streamline frontend development, including code generation from Visa’s Product Design System and Figma designs.
  • Build intelligent chatbots to enhance user experiences and provide efficient support.
  • Design, develop, and deploy RAG-based applications to enhance information retrieval and generation capabilities.
  • Evaluate and improve the performance of RAG systems through rigorous testing and experimentation.
  • Create and maintain a robust component library using generative techniques, ensuring alignment with our design system.
  • Explore and implement advanced GenAI techniques to optimize code quality, performance, and accessibility.
  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to identify opportunities for AI-driven innovation.
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in generative AI and machine learning.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
• 2 or more years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree or an Advanced
Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in CS, MIS, UX or equivalent experience
  • Experience working on front-end applications
  • Experience with AI technologies such as machine learning, natural language processing, or computer vision
  • Experience with Figma or other design tools.
  • Knowledge of backend development and APIs.

Essential Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in frontend development with JavaScript, NodeJS, TypeScript, and modern web development frameworks (React, Angular).
  • Expertise in generative AI models, techniques, and libraries (e.g., OpenAI, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Deep understanding of RAG architectures and techniques.
  • Experience with design systems and component libraries.
  • Understanding of natural language processing (NLP) and conversational AI.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and understandable language.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Passion for learning and experimenting with new technologies.
  • Experience implementing pixel perfect layouts and UI components using Angular or React
  • Experience building Single Page Applications that consume API/REST services
  • Understanding of UX and the design techniques and principals involved in the production of conceptual prototypes, wireframes, and HTML Prototypes
  • Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills (Required)
  • Ability to work independently and manage one’s time (Required)
  • Web Standards and Accessibility Best Practices (Required)
  • Ability to analyze written requirements and visually conceptualize the user interface and application flows (Required)
  • Knowledge of Figma

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 105,800 to 149,550.00  USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
