Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.Ph.D. in machine learning, AI, computer science, statistics, applied mathematics, data science, or related technical fieldsProven track record of consistent publication and citation historyExperience in solving modeling problems using AI/ML approachesExperience in applying research to production problemsExperience presenting research for public audiences and peersExperience in developing and debugging in Python, C/C++, or C#Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employmentIndividuals in this role are expected to be recognized experts in areas such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and computational statistics, particularly including areas such as deep learning and data representation, sequential decision making, graph learning, reinforcement learning.Preferred Qualifications2+ years of work experience post PhD in a university, industry, or government lab(s), in a role with primary emphasis on AI research.Experience in working with large scale recommendation systems such as ads, content recommendation, etc.First-author publications at peer-reviewed AI conferences (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, AAAI).Experience with interdisciplinary and/or cross-organization collaboration.Experience bringing machine learning-based products from research to production.
