How you will create impact

The AI Regulatory Manager is a key leader responsible for coordination across multiple teams and functions to enable our AI governance approach and framework.  This individual will partner effectively with leaders throughout the organization to ensure alignment of our AI strategy with the current regulatory environment – allowing us to continuously expand our AI capabilities in a safe and responsible manner.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Act as a strategic advisor to facilitate collaboration between our Product Delivery Teams and Control Functions (e.g. Legal, Enterprise Risk Management, Information Security) on our GenAI product rollout and approach for use of vendor AI technology.
  • Coordinates with cross-functional teams (e.g., data science, product and IT delivery) to understand and document how solution design satisfies legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Partners with the legal team in assessing the impact of AI-related regulations and guidance on product design and implementation.
  • Project manages implementation of system, process, contract and policy updates in alignment with regulatory guidance.
  • Coordinates with operations and technical teams to understand the impacts to legacy systems to support our governance strategy.
  • Facilitates alignment on AI governance related decisions and impacts across multiple teams.
  • Supports design and refinement policies and processes that align with our AI Governance framework.
  • Tracks and manages AI risk mitigation efforts.
  • Contributes to the continued development of best practices for responsible AI usage including training and awareness efforts.

What is needed to be successful:

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited educational institution
  • An MBA or other advanced degree (preferred), or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years in financial services, insurance, consulting or similar industries
  • Understanding of Artificial Intelligence technologies including Generative AI
  • Experience in working in and/or partnering with legal, compliance, internal audit, enterprise risk or other corporate governance functions
  • Ability to effectively translate complex regulatory concepts to tactical implications for product design and implementation
  • Experience developing process documentation
  • An ability to think strategically and creatively
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills
  • The ability to ensure the confidentiality of sensitive information and thrive in a fast-paced, intellectually demanding and service-oriented environment
  • The capacity for self-motivation, independent initiative and creative problem-solving
  • The ability to manage time and schedules to meet aggressive deadlines and influence through persuasive written and verbal communication
  • A diligent attention to detail and strong technical intuition
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) to convey impacts of technology, process and policy design and influence senior leadership (L4/L3) executives
  • Demonstrated progressive experience in management and leadership including ability to influence others without direct authority
