What you’ll do
This role’s primary responsibility is to design AI solutions that address business demands, with a special emphasis on AI product development. This involves a deep understanding of the product’s requirements, identifying aspects that can be optimized through AI, and aligning the appropriate AI technologies to address these challenges. Operational and cost efficiency are key considerations in the product design process. The AI Product Architect plays a crucial role in the data science team, and therefore this role requires a deep understanding of AI, data science, and product development principles.
- AI Strategy Ownership - define and maintain the vision for AI-driven products, ensuring they align with company goals and market needs. In-depth knowledge of the components and architectural trade-offs involved with AI model governance, and production of workflows
- Stay up to date with the latest AI technologies and trends, architect AI products, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance vs real-time constraints and costs
- Develop the team’s AI strategy for the integration of new technologies into product offerings. The new AI tools and offerings should be brought periodically for the data science team to test and implement, and together evaluate and select the appropriate technologies for AI product development
- Provide technical leadership in the design and development of AI products and conduct regular checks to the model deployment and supporting framework to ensure high-quality AI implementations
- Collaborate closely with data scientists to understand their needs, pains and ensure the existent tools support their work effectively. Provide mentorship and training to junior members, ensuring best practices are being followed
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and goals towards developing AI products
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, executives, and development teams, about the product’s progress and performance
- Ensure all AI products comply with relevant regulations and ethical guidelines
- Transform product demands and feature requirements into AI products that generate the required business value and enable high operational efficiency

- Develop the team’s AI strategy for the integration of new technologies into novel AI product offerings
- Provide technical leadership in the design and development of AI products and train junior team members
- Collaborate closely with data scientists and cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and goals for AI product deployment
Who you are
- Knowledge of Data Science and Machine Learning Model Governance
- Experience in cloud services, Vertex AI and BigQuery preferred
- Object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python and Spark/Scala
- In-depth knowledge of the AI components and architectural trade-offs involved in the AI production workflows
- Contribute significantly to Data Science and AI future reference architecture
- In-depth knowledge of the components and architectural trade-offs involved in the AI model building, governance, and product development principles
- Ability to own and govern the architecture behind AI product strategy
- Responsible for aligning AI product implementations with existing and future requirements
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar role working with large-scale platforms
- Use tools such as Scikit-learn and Vertex AI for machine learning, and SQL and NoSQL databases
- Proficiency in English and Portuguese required
