About the Role We’re looking for a skilled news editor with extensive knowledge of AP Style, proper source citation and fact-checking, as well as an eagle eye for grammar, punctuation and syntax. The ideal candidate will merge expertise in content creation, editing and optimization with a strong understanding of machine learning and natural language processing to deliver engaging, accurate and impactful content.
This position requires the editor to use proprietary, in-house AI technology to generate and edit three to five articles a day using legal document sources.
Key Responsibilities ● Content Review: Edit and refine AI-generated articles for clarity, grammar and alignment with brand standards and journalistic integrity. ● Fact-Checking & Accuracy: Ensure content meets high editorial standards and integrates proper source citations. ● SEO Optimization: Enhance AI-generated content for search engine visibility using keywords and internal linking strategies. ● Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including our head of digital strategy, managing editor, developers and others to help refine AI algorithms and align content with brand messaging.
Requirements
Job Qualifications ● Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Communications or related fields. ● 3+ years of experience in content editing, copywriting or similar roles. ● Mastery of AP Style and exceptional editing skills for accuracy, clarity and tone. ● Strong understanding of AI concepts, such as natural language processing and machine learning. ● Proficiency in SEO best practices and tools for content optimization. ● Familiarity with CMS platforms and digital publishing tools.
