Job Title: AI Model Zoo InternJob Location: San Jose, CAJob ID: AI2334Internship Term: preferably starting in July 2024 through October 2024.Internship Stipend: The hourly pay rate range for this position is $43 - $45ONSITE: This role requires the Intern to work from our San Jose, California office during the duration of the Internship.Roles and Responsibilities: As a member of the Platform Architecture team, you will have the opportunity to make significant contributions to SiMa.ai’s Model Zoo. The Model Zoo is both an internal and external facing tool used to both classify and estimate the performance of our internal compiler and serves as a repository of pre-trained models that customers can use as a starting point in their projects. Your work will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Train state-of-the-art neural network models using publicly available datasets.
Quantize the models using internal tools and optionally fine-tune the network architecture based on quantization results.
Analyze models that do not quantize well, determine the reason(s) for the low quantization accuracy, and propose improvements.
Requirements (Experience and Expertise Areas):
Must-have:
Candidates are expected to have recently graduated with an M.S. in Computer Science or a related field with specialization in Neural Networks.
Strong experience training a multitude of neural network architectures using PyTorch/TensorFlow.
Strong experience in curating datasets and augmenting datasets to meet accuracy requirements.
Strong programming skills in C++ and Python.
Strong background in algorithms and data structures.
Good understanding of processor architectures.
Highly desirable:
Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms such as matrix multiplication and convolution.
