Job Purpose

The AI Lecturer will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of high-impact Artificial Intelligence (AI) training programs offered by KAUST Academy. This position involves delivering engaging and practical AI instruction to a diverse range of participants, including government sector clients. This role will support KAUST Academy’s efforts to build AI capacity across various sectors.

Major Accountabilities

• Deliver high-quality AI training sessions, workshops, and lectures to diverse audiences as part of various KAUST Academy programs.
• Prepare and customize training materials to suit different learning objectives and audience backgrounds.
• Deliver training effectively in both Arabic and English, ensuring clarity and engagement for all participants.
• Provide hands-on assistance and mentorship to learners during training sessions and lab exercises.
• Assist in the assessment of training needs and the evaluation of program effectiveness, providing feedback for improvement.
• Collaborate with program managers, other lecturers, and subject matter experts to ensure cohesive and comprehensive program delivery.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in AI technologies, tools, and educational best practices to ensure training relevance and excellence.
• Maintain necessary records of training activities and participant progress.

Person Requirements 

Competencies

• Strong foundational and practical knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, including areas such as machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, and AI ethics.
• Excellent teaching, presentation, and facilitation skills, with an ability to make complex AI concepts accessible and engaging.
• Fluency in both Arabic and English (written and spoken) is essential.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• A passion for AI and a commitment to delivering high-quality education and training.
• Ability to adapt teaching style to different audiences and learning environments.
• Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to supporting learner needs.
• Good organizational skills and ability to manage training session logistics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Data Science, or a closely related technical field.
• Relevant certifications in AI, machine learning, or specific AI platforms/tools are advantageous.

Experience

• Proven experience (1-3 years) in delivering technical training or lectures, preferably in the field of Artificial Intelligence or Data Science. 
• Experience in developing or customizing training materials for technical subjects.
• Hands-on experience with common AI tools, libraries, and platforms.
• Experience in delivering training to corporate or government sector clients is highly desirable.
