At Wireless Algorithm Lab we are working with 5G product concepts, features and architecture. We are committed to shaping the future of 6G networks by integrating artificial intelligence to create efficient, intelligent, and adaptive network systems. Our goal is to develop AI-native networks that are capable of autonomous decision-making and resource management to meet the demands of future communication systems.

We are seeking a highly motivated Researcher with expertise in AI. The ideal candidate will have a passion for exploring how AI can be leveraged to enhance the performance, efficiency, and adaptability of 6G networks. We work in a highly competitive and fast-moving environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement innovative algorithms and models for optimization of network resources
  • Investigate deep learning algorithms for key functionalities of RAN, such as physical layer signal processing and multi-objective optimizations.
  • Analyze and evaluate the performance of proposed solutions using simulations
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI. Develop concept for next generation RAN product algorithms.

Qualifications:

  • Master degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Statistical/Engineering physics
  • Ph.D. degree is favored in relevant fields.
  • Deep understanding of SOTA deep learning research from theory to practice. Familiar with the methodology of data driven research.
  • Firsthand experience of applying deep learning models for real world problems.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and C++ and proficiency in AI/ML frameworks for data collection, model training and evaluations using e.g., PyTorch, JAX.
  • Fast to learn.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiar with transformers, attentions, diffusion models, and have experience in multimodality data and models.
  • Familiar with the theory and practice for dealing with high dimensional data by AI/machine learning.
  • Experience of using computing clusters for high performance computing. Proficient to work with Linux system.
  • Strong coding skills are favored.

What we offer:

  • This is a full-time 6-month position (with potential to extend). The work will be done at the Stockholm Research Center, Huawei Technologies Sweden AB.
  • Ideal starting date: March 2025
