At Wireless Algorithm Lab we are working with 5G product concepts, features and architecture. We are committed to shaping the future of 6G networks by integrating artificial intelligence and advanced reasoning methods to create efficient, intelligent, and adaptive network systems. Our goal is to develop AI-native networks that are capable of autonomous decision-making and resource management to meet the demands of future communication systems.

We are seeking a highly motivated Researcher with expertise in AI. The ideal candidate will have a passion for exploring how AI can be leveraged to enhance the performance, efficiency, and adaptability of 6G networks. This role involves developing novel algorithms and models that integrate AI and Causal Reasoning for effective radio resource management and network optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement innovative algorithms and models for autonomous decision-making and optimization of network resources
  • Explore and apply causal inference techniques to enhance the interpretability and reliability of AI-driven network management solutions
  • Analyze and evaluate the performance of proposed solutions using simulations
  • Publish research findings in top-tier conferences and journals, and present at industry forums
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI, causal reasoning

Qualifications:

  • Fresh PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and C++ and experience with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch)
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with reinforcement learning, deep learning, and other advanced AI techniques.
  • Knowledge of simulation tools for network modeling and analysis
  • Understanding of data-driven and model-driven approaches in network management
  • Research background in AI, machine learning, causal reasoning, and their applications in wireless networks.

What we offer:

  • This is a full-time one-year position. The work will be done at the Sweden Research Center, Huawei Technologies Sweden AB.
  • Ideal starting data January 2025.
