ABOUT THE ROLE

AI team is dedicated to providing innovative solutions that enable our company to stay ahead in a competitive market by harnessing the power of AI to drive our business forward. As a member of the Artificial Intelligence team, you will take on some of our biggest challenges and your work will impact the entire Harbor Lab experience. Our team moves very fast, so you’ll have the opportunity to make an immediate difference!

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• AI Development & Innovation: Design and implement AI workflows and models in Python, with a strong emphasis on leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs). Develop scalable AI solutions that seamlessly integrate AI/ML with software engineering best practices.
• Collaborative Development: Work closely with data scientists, software engineers, and domain experts to ideate, share progress, and drive projects forward through effective teamwork.
• Continuous Research & Innovation: Stay informed on emerging AI/ML trends, exploring and integrating state-of-the-art techniques to enhance project outcomes.
• Comprehensive Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation to enhance reproducibility, knowledge sharing, and collaboration across teams.

Requirements

WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE

• Educational Background: BSc / MSc in a STEM field
• Industry Experience: 3+ years in Machine Learning, with expertise in supervised, unsupervised, and semi-supervised learning.
• Deep Learning & LLM Expertise: Proficiency in deep learning architectures, including CNNs, Transformers, and LLM methodologies such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and advanced prompting techniques.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong Python skills with experience in libraries such as PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Pandas, Pydantic, and FastAPI.
• AI & ML Tooling: Hands-on experience with Hugging Face, LangChain, and vector similarity search tools (e.g., FAISS, Pinecone).
• AI Model Integration: Familiarity with mainstream AI models from OpenAI, Google, and Anthropic.
• Cloud & DevOps Exposure: Experience with cloud platforms , version control (Git), and containerization (Docker); Kubernetes is a plus.
• Communication & Collaboration: Fluent in English with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Additionally, the following will be considered a plus: 

• Great Communication skills
• Knowledge to Maritime industry
• Familiar with AWS ecosystem
• Software engineering background
