What you`ll do

Summary:
TheCross Cloud & Data Engineering (CCDE) Unit within the Global Cloud Infrastructure & Delivery (GCID) organization is looking for an AI Developer to optimize SAP’s cloud infrastructure. A successful candidate will adopt, drive, and develop innovative and efficient artificial intelligence (AI) solutions with a focus on delivering results. Your work will closely align with the production and core AI development team to provide strong and dependable solutions for SAP’s cloud infrastructure and cost efficiency.

The Role:
This team is responsible for AI-based initiatives and developing AI solutions for our cloud infrastructure management, especially in the area of cost optimization. The main focus is to expand our toolset functionalities using AI capabilities. This role is for an AI developer who will be at the forefront of implementing and programming cutting-edge AI solutions, methods, and algorithms for our business and technical problems, aligned with the strategic objectives of the organization. Successful candidates are creative, skilled, and motivated self-starters who work well in a team setting and take a practical approach to solving problems. You will work directly with our data science experts and solution architects to build and implement technical solutions in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment. Continuous learning and growth in new technical areas will be crucial, as well as working in agile, cross-functional teams.

What you bring

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 1-2 years of experience in software development with AI expertise, ideally with a focus on solving complex cloud infrastructure problems
• Strong Python development skill is a must, with expertise in OOP, design patterns, and software principles
• Expertise in AI/ML implementation, LLM development, finetuning techniques, asynchronous programming, and streaming data
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to development details and quality
• Good cloud infrastructure knowledge 
• Excellent communication skills in English 

Nice to haves:

• Experience with object stores, vector databases, and building data pipelines for LLMs 
• Experience with CI/CD systems, microservices deployment, and gitops (ArgoCD, Jenkins, Vault)
• Experience in building and developing RESTful APIs
