The AI Architect at Cepheid will be responsible for leading the design, development, and deployment of AI solutions. This role involves working closely with cross-functional, Platform and Corporate teams, guiding AI strategy, and ensuring that AI solutions are aligned with our existing systems, security requirements, and regulatory standards. The AI Architect will play a critical role in driving innovation and AI adoption across the organization.
This position is part of the AI and Enterprise Data Transformation and will be in remote. At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Develop and execute the AI strategy for Cepheid, ensuring alignment with organizational and Danaher goals and driving the adoption of AI technologies.
Oversee the design, development, and deployment of AI-powered features and solutions, ensuring robustness, scalability, and maintainability.
Manage the deployment and operationalization of AI models on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and oversee the end-to-end MLOps lifecycle.
Architect AI systems with a focus on data security, privacy, and compliance with industry standards, including those specific to medical devices.
Design and implement efficient data pipelines to support AI model training and deployment, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
The essential requirements of the job include.
Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related field.
Proven experience (5+ years) in AI/ML roles with a strong track record of successful AI project implementations. Expertise in data pipeline design and implementation, ensuring smooth data flow and integration with AI models.
Experience with MLOps, including the deployment, monitoring, and management of machine learning models in production.
Proficiency in the adoption and alignment of AI solutions with existing systems and processes. Deep understanding of AI/ML algorithms, frameworks, and platforms (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
Experience in security architecture related to AI/ML systems, ensuring models and data are protected.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Experience with FDA regulatory processes and other global healthcare regulations.
Familiarity with natural language processing (NLP) and computer vision applications in diagnostic tools.

The salary range this role is $130,000-140,000 USD. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay. #LI-Remote
