Meta is seeking an experienced professional to lead our regional public policy strategy on AI and Reality Lab products.


As a Public Policy Manager, you will join the Meta Policy Team in APAC, helping our policy teams to shape issues and product agendas with policymakers inside and outside of government. You will also advise our internal teams on the public policy implications of our products and wider positions as a company, working with a cross-functional global team. The role will also engage and lead go-to-market strategy for AI and Augmented Reality for the public sector.


The role requires significant experience either working with or in government, politics, regulatory agencies or think tanks, as well as an demonstrated experience to grasp complex technical and policy issues. You will need knowledge of existing tech policy issues, including expert knowledge of the policy issues and helping to launch and grow its AI and Reality Labs products.


Understanding of our MetaAI and Reality Labs products and an expert in the product approaches and policies that support them and understand what drives product leadership decision making and future product vision.


You will need knowledge of APAC’s AI and immersive tech landscape, particularly major academic centers, start-ups, trade bodies, government institutions and public commentators. Equally important is an understanding of how to translate technical issues into persuasive public policy advocacy. You will work with cross-functional teams across Meta to devise and execute on public policy campaigns and to advance Meta's mission to create a more open and connected world.

AI and Reality Lab Public Policy Manager, APAC Responsibilities

• Work closely regional and central teams to shape and ensure delivery of the strategies in support of Meta’s AI and Reality Labs products
• Through close collaboration with AI Policy and RL Policy teams, ensure consistency of Meta’s APAC policy engagement strategies with our global AI and RL policy strategies
• Represent Meta to external policy stakeholders at events, conferences, technical meetings with regulators, and other public fora
• Brief executives across Meta on the risks and opportunities emerging from the policy and political landscape in APAC
• Advise Meta’s internal teams on AI and Reality Labs policy matters to guide development of products and policies
• Build campaign narratives and third party mobilisation strategies in collaboration with Meta’s APAC Programs team and other cross-functional teams

Minimum Qualifications

• 8+ years of legal and/or public policy experience
• Experience working and engaging with policymakers
• Able to exercise judgment and persuasive skills, creativity, and able to work in a dynamic environment
• Experience producing policy briefs and other advocacy product policy documents for key stakeholders
• Product counseling experience.
