As a POD Leader, you will be empowered to manage key relationships between the business stakeholders and IT and deliver on business opportunities and outcomes. In this role, you will contribute to Takeda’s mission by leading the development of one or multiple product strategies. A typical day will include:

OBJECTIVES:

  • Lead the development of one or multiple product strategies, fitting into long-term roadmaps and drive the product priority-setting of capabilities and features in response to business needs aligned with IT architecture, deployment and product and release management.
  • Lead products from an AI Product Line that utilize MLOps, Kubeflow, and AWS services.
  • Proactively monitor and maintain product related end-to-end customer/business experiences and influence relevant stakeholders to support and deliver successful product releases.
  • Partners with peers within IT to drive continuous improvement of service processes, user experiences and application optimization aligned with business stakeholders.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Responsible for the design and delivery of their chapter.
  • Manage the budget (investment and run cost) for their chapter.
  • Organize sub-pods and the operating model of the POD with their Technical Lead, Business Analyst, Quality Engineer, and other resources as needed.
  • Ultimately responsible for the successful delivery of projects and products in their area.
  • Work with regional PODs for local roll-outs of initiatives and manage cross-functional PODs as necessary.
  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of lab Informatics Technologies, such as sample management and analytical lab information management (LIMS) solutions, following agile SDLC methodologies and regulatory (GxP) guidelines. 

EDUCATION, BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a scientific discipline, computer science or business administration is preferred.
  • 6 years or more of relevant professional experience in research of development business lines, Product Management, IT service delivery or related area.
  • Professional in-depth knowledge of product management in pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience with lab solution technologies (eg StarLims, Labware LIMS, ELNs, Inventory Systems, and other lab technology solutions)
  • Experience with MLOps platforms (e.g., Kubeflow) and AI/ML services (e.g., Amazon Bedrock) on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Bring deep technical expertise and understanding of life sciences lab solutions products and technologies (LIMS, ELNs etc), and labs of the future trends to define a robust and clear informatics strategy around management of analytical samples and experimental data within the context of a larger ecosystem of technologies, experimental workflows, advanced analytics, data sciences and a cloud infrastructure.
  • Understanding and knowledge of current trends in AI and ML enabled solutions for Labs.
  • Experience in stakeholder relationship management. Influential in orchestrating key stakeholders and product teams to turn product vision into reality.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, business acumen, and enterprise knowledge.
  • Extensive experience in design or in implementing solutions or products and preferable experienced in quality improvement.
  • Understand design thinking and can explain and convince stakeholders.
  • Work with virtual/agile teams in different locations, aligning and adapting different work, culture and communication styles.

Preferred:

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
  • Familiarity working in a lean and agile software delivery team is preferred.
  • Is an accomplished practitioner of design thinking, with a proven track record of developing and exploiting deep customer insights.
  • Experience with the design and development of pharmaceutical life science products.
  • Able to think counterproductive, out of the box and is able to convince stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience of authoring User Stories, experience with dev-ops tool set such as JIRA & Confluence as well as Product Management tools

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$133,000.00 - $209,000.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location. 

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
