As Sr. Data Scientist II, you’ll lead efforts to conceptualize, design, implement, and support AI test and evaluation (AI T&E) workflows for AI/ML uses involving computer vision. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in AI/ML orchestration tools, modeling and simulation, and Python, and have a deep understanding of data science principles. Familiarity with computer vision ML practices is a significant advantage.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead Computer Vision AI/ML efforts as part of a ~10-person cross-functional team
  • Understand customer AI workflows and recommend T&E practices, procedures, and tooling.
  • Develop AI/ML workflows that demonstrate best practices and serve as references.
  • Conduct simulations to evaluate the performance of proposed solutions.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate tooling into operational systems.
  • Document and present findings to stakeholders, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Stay informed about emerging trends in data science and machine learning to incorporate cutting-edge techniques.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges related to modeling and simulation.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • An active DoD Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field (Master’s or PhD preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in data science, with a focus on model development and optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with Python for data analysis, modeling, and simulation.
  • Experience working with computer vision models, tools, and systems.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and associated data science libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, PyTorch, MLFlow).
  • Experience with simulation tools and techniques.
  • Solid understanding of machine learning concepts, statistical analysis, and algorithm design.
