Role

As a Robotics Software Engineer at Intrinsic, you will play a key role in shaping the future of factory automation. From project inception, you will partner with industry leaders to develop and deploy innovative robotic automation solutions using the Intrinsic platform. Your responsibilities will include extending our technology, creating novel software features, and deploying impactful robotics products. A focus area in this role will be the creation of digital twins for industrial robot solutions and developing automated workflows for the efficient import and export of CAD data. 

How your work moves the mission forward

  • Concept new robotic automation applications with the Intrinsic platform, including scoping the solutions, assessing their feasibility and prototyping them 
  • Lead the joint development of automation solutions with our customer toward production deployments
  • Implement, test, and maintain high-quality software in the area of digital twins on Intrinsic's platform
  • Document and communicate your work for internal and external stakeholders to share practical feedback to our product manager and development team.
  • Contribute to the development of automation systems for internal development, such as proof of concepts

Skills you will need to be successful

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s with equivalent work in Computer Science, Robotics, Mechatronics or a related field
  • Fluency with C++ and/or Python.
  • Proven ability to work with a team, contributing to delivering solutions
  • Domain knowledge about robotics and/or industrial automation
  • Domain knowledge of CAD data handling and simulation
  • Motivation to closely collaborate with partners and cross functional teams
  • Fluency and ability to have business-related conversations with customers and clients in German and English

Skills that will differentiate your candidacy

  • Knowledge of planning and simulation of industrial robot automation around the Automotive industry
  • Experience working with CAD, robotic simulators and creating digital twins.
  • Familiarity with ROS 2 and hands-on experience integrating the same into physical applications.
  • Understanding of Kubernetes, gRPC, Protobuf, Bazel, microservice architectures, and/or real-time systems
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
