Akamai Technologies, Inc. is hiring for the following role in Cambridge, MA (multiple openings): Data Scientist. Senior. 

Perform data science and data modeling duties in furtherance of analysis, manipulation, and processing of large data sets. Work with end-to-end data science pipeline in both algorithmic and operational ways, including data labeling, model testing and monitoring. Build data models that enable detection of anomalies. Create graphs, charts, or other visualizations to convey the results of data analysis. Deliver results of mathematical modeling and data analysis to stakeholders. Work closely with security researchers to combine subject matter expertise into models. Innovate in the fields of web security research and data science. Test, validate, and reformulate models to ensure accurate prediction of outcomes. Write new functions to conduct analyses. Telecommuting permitted from anywhere within the United States.[AG0530]

Required Qualification:

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or closely related technical role. Must have: Two (2) years of experience in the following skills: PySpark, MLlib, Scipy, Sklearn, Numpy, Pandas, Spark Configuration and Tuning, Azure Databricks, Community Detection Algorithms, NLP, Gen AI/LLM integration, Deep Learning, Data Visualization, Elasticsearch Kibana, Anomaly Detection, Network Security, Linux Firewall Management, Linux Automation Scripting, Azure DevOps, Slack and Webex API integration, and Data Architecture Design.

Compensation:

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary for this position ranges from $106600 - $221400; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location.

The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
