THE OPPORTUNITY

As a Data Science Intern, you’ll work closely with full-time employees and learn the ins and outs of Health, Safety, and Environment while helping to protect people and the planet. You will collaborate with the Data Science Manager on real-world projects that we actually need completed.

This internship will give you the opportunity to:

• learn how machine learning techniques are applied to model and predict large datasets.
• understand the differences between theory and practice by working with real-world data.

Missions

• Design and implement data pipelines and data storage solutions.
• Ensure data quality and integrity by developing and implementing data validation and cleaning processes.
• Develop and deploy machine learning models.
• Develop and maintain data documentation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs and develop solutions to meet those needs

DESIRED PROFILE

Educational level / Training

Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.

Master students preferred.

Technical skills & professional experience:

• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and techniques.
• Understanding of data modeling and database integration principles.
• Experience with data visualization and big data processing technologies such as Spark or Hadoop.

 Soft skills:

• Team-oriented, curious and problem solver.

 Spoken languages:

• Fluent in English
