The Position

We are seeking a skilled and innovative Cloud Data Scientist to join our growing AI team. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure to support the deployment and operation of large language models (LLMs). As an Cloud Data Scientist, you will work closely with our AI researchers and developers to ensure the cloud environment is optimized for performance, scalability, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement cloud architecture for hosting and scaling large language models (LLMs).

  • Manage cloud resources to ensure efficient utilization and cost-effectiveness.

  • Automate the deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure.

  • Develop and implement security best practices for cloud environments.

  • Collaborate with AI data scientists and developers to optimize model training and inference workflows.

  • Implement CI/CD pipelines for ML model deployment and updates.

  • Monitor cloud systems for operational reliability, performance, and security.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure issues.

  • Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in cloud computing and AI.

  • MLOps Integration: responsibilities around model lifecycle management using industry tools like MLflow

  • LLM Infrastructure Optimization: expertise needed for high-performance AI workloads, specifically mentioning experience with tools similar to DeepSpeed and FrugalGPT for efficient LLM deployment.

  • Security & Compliance: implementation of AI-specific security protocols and compliance with regulations like GDPR/HIPAA, ~ familiarity with platforms similar to Vanta or OneTrust.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 1+ years of experience in cloud engineering or cloud architecture roles.

  • Proven experience with cloud service providers (preferable AWS, Google Cloud).

  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.

  • Experience in deploying and managing AI/ML models in production environments.​​​​​

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python

  • Strong knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).

  • Familiarity with data storage and database services (e.g., S3, BigQuery, SQL/NoSQL databases).

  • Understanding of networking concepts and virtual private cloud (VPC) setups.

  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).

  • Knowledge in Graph Database, Neo4j, Cypher is a plus.​

Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Additional Skills (Preferred, but not required):

  • Familiarity with LLM architectures and frameworks (e.g., Hugging Face Transformers, OpenAI GPT).

  • Experience with MLOps practices and tools.

  • Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect).
