THE ROLE: WorldQuant is seeking exceptional individuals to join the firm as a Data Scientist. While prior finance experience is not required, a successful candidate must possess a strong interest in learning about finance and global markets.

• Perform analysis and generate models of financial datasets using machine learning techniques
• Verify the integrity of unstructured data and turn data into potentially valuable insights
• Develop and create data that seek to predict the movement of financial market by applying variety of algorithmic techniques

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

• D., M.S., or B.S. degree from a leading university in a quantitative or highly analytical field (e.g. Industrial Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Financial Engineering, etc.)
• Excellent academic record
• Demonstrated ability of at least one programming language, e.g. C++, python, etc.; familiar with systems like Linux/Unix
• Research experience in NLP, Deep Learning is a plus
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and judgment with a strong attention to detail
• Mature, thoughtful, with the ability to operate in a collaborative, team-oriented culture
• Able to communicate in English (written and verbal)
